Youth Ministry
Youth Group is open to all students from 7th -12th grade. We meet on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm.
Currently we have about 30 students of all backgrounds who are active in the program, most of which attend the local schools: Chula Vista, Hilltop, Otay as well as a few private schools.
Our trained staff & volunteer leaders do their best to create a safe and welcoming environment for all who attend. All our staff and volunteers are screened and background checked to ensure a safe atmosphere for your teen.
Typically a Tuesday night unfolds like this. First 45 minutes we play games, 20 minutes snacks/hanging out, 20 minutes worship 35 minutes a practical Bible Study relating to issues that youth often deal with.
The purpose of South Bay Youth Ministry is to nurture the spiritual needs of teens in Chula Vista. This is done through 5 areas:
1. Worship
2. Bible Study
3. Discipleship
4. Service
5. Fellowship
Throughout the year, we provide different opportunities for our youth to get involved in these 5 key areas of the ministry. Some of these opportunities include:
· Weekly Youth Group & Sunday School
· Fall Retreat
· Spring / Summer Conferences
· Quarterly Homeless Feedings
· Mexico Mission Trip
· Airsoft Outreach
· Laser Tag
· Plus Much More!
It is our desire to see the youth in our community come into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ and grow into mature believers.
